Dannenbaum Station

Beaumont Mayor David W. Moore led a group of elected officials and dignitaries in the dedication of Dannenbaum Station on 31 October 2000.  The railroad station motif was designed to compliment the recently renovated architecture of the area.  Amenities include restrooms and covered waiting and boarding areas.  The project has been recognized as an important commitment by the city to its dedication to the revitalization of the downtown Beaumont area.

HENRY JOSEPH DANNENBAUM III
Henry J. Dannenbaum III was born January 18, 1931, he died in a tragic accident on January 30, 1995.  Henry was a native of Houston, Texas but lived most of his life in Beaumont.  He was a familiar face in downtown Beaumont attending city council meetings and making his rounds at the police department and checking on secretaries in the downtown churches.
Henry exemplified the spirit of the City of Beaumont and he wanted to be counted.  This attitude is what makes a city grow and be great.
The City of Beaumont is proud to dedicate the Beaumont Municipal Transit Station to Henry Dannenbaum.  This facility will constantly remind us of Henry's dedication to Beaumont and his spirit to make our city a better place to live and work.
